A semester in Uganda would be incomplete without time spent in a rural village as most Ugandans are subsistance farmers living in rural communities. Rural homestays gives students the opportunity to engage with a family in context which is very different from the urban setting of Mukono. This semester our students spent a week in
Serere (in Eastern Uganda)
doing life with their Itesso host families.

And of course, no rural homestay week is complete without a fun debrief to Sipi Falls where we process our week, hike and enjoy the beautiful outdoors!
